Adding a brand should not always mean copying another workflow. Microsoft’s dynamic connections in Azure Logic Apps Standard, described in June 2026, let one workflow choose between connections that have already been set up, such as different file-transfer servers or databases.
For a multi-brand operator, that creates a useful option: share the process without sharing the destination. Where the work is genuinely the same, there can be fewer copies to maintain as the business grows.
When one process becomes several copies
Imagine several brands sending the same type of order file to different fulfilment partners. If the only difference is where the file goes, maintaining a separate workflow for each can mean repeating the same change and test several times.
Dynamic connections allow a shared workflow to select the appropriate preconfigured destination. The potential benefit is less duplicated maintenance and fewer opportunities for one copy to drift away from the others.
But if the brands have different approval rules, data requirements or support arrangements, those differences still need to be designed for. Reusing a workflow is useful only when the underlying process really matches.
What it means for you
This capability applies to built-in connectors in Logic Apps Standard. It does not extend to every Azure connector or automatically change Power Automate flows. Microsoft’s announcement also notes that setup requires developer configuration rather than the visual designer, and that destinations must exist in advance.
The control question matters as much as the efficiency: how do we ensure each brand’s information reaches only its intended destination? Routing needs trusted rules, appropriate access and tests for missing or incorrect brand information. A shared workflow is not permission to mix data between entities.
There is no reason to rebuild a working setup just to use a new feature. If adding a brand or warehouse currently means copying the same flow again, talk through the pattern with us. We can look at whether a shared process would simplify the work without weakening the boundaries.
